Hi Admin, I suffer from depression and have for many years. However, for many years I didn't know what it was and didn't take meds for it.. I became very isolated and stayed in my room for days on end. I was also very shy and withdrawn from others never made any friends. I am on a small dose of anti-depresent in the morning and it really has helped. I know some people can get a little too over dosed on meds and become like zombies and in the end you really dont know what was better.. the depression or zombie like feeling all day long.....

Hi Inadream. I know how you feel having depression for so many years. I have been in and out of psych hospitals. I am one of the unlucky ones who has to take 2 mood stabilizers, 1 anti-anxiety pill and 2 different meds at bedtime. I sleep a lot but i don't know if its from my bipolar or my diabetes i just found out i have b/c my sleepiness has just started again. Meds are a pain but they are better than the alternative. Thank you so much Admin. I am so proud of you also. If it weren't for you the last time in the hosp I would have been so lonely. You have come a long way with all your forums and that is something to be proud of. If you have to be gone for a while pls let me know this time and i will cover the bb for you.

Well it can be a struggle thats for sure and anyone who goes through this knows where I am coming from. I know having my animals are very healing for me and I spend alot of time with them as well as painting

I have bi-polar II and borderline disability. The problem is when you take something wrong that a person has said some think you are selfish. Not all ppl do. There are some ppl like admin who stick with you thru thick and thin. But some are not as affectionate.

Since so many of us suffer from depression why don't we start a group in chat? Maybe we can help each other by telling our stories. If you don't feel comfortable in telling your story you can listen and maybe get some ideas. You are under no pressure to talk.

the last couple of weeks I have been getting really depressed. I can hardly type. I will look at the screen and I see the same word typed over and over for about 2 lines. I try to play mahjong but I get bored after awhile. I want to learn to paint but I don't know where to start. I better go before I cant type at all.

I've Been depression for years and in 2004 i was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder. Its been a very up hill battle and still to this day I'm very depressed got to take one day at a time and that how u make it.

My bpd is acting up again and I am hurting people I love again. My moods are changing so much. It may just be my diabetes. It is so high and may be causing it to act up.

I think talking about what makes you depressed and sharing experiences about it will help you big time. I agree about the idea of "chatting your way out of depression". You must remember that when you hurt yourself, you also hurt the people around you (who loves you and cares for you) automatically.
