This has become just about the most serious and deadly disease for women. It is extremely important to check yourself every month(I believe the ACS recommends after a shower) The stats have become bad. You can survive if you take care of yourself. I am extremely bad about my mammograms. I am supposed to have one yearly b/c my mom had breast cancer and had to have a breast removed. I did for awhile but my breasts are so big they have to take 2 pictures of each one and it hurts really bad. I know that's no excuse. I didn't like my last gyn so I guess it would be best to find one to recommend one and do a pap. I haven't had one of those in several years either. I do recommemd that everyone gets a mammogram how often their doc recommend. My mom was lucky. Even though she had to have a breast removed at least she survived and my wish for you is if you develop breast cancer you will survive also.
